Producing one of the first sports cars that could comfortably cruise at over 100 mph for miles on end was clearly a difficult task in 1950 and Jaguar achieved it before anyone else with great success. The XK was a highly desirable machine and with its racing provenance and amazing twin cam engine it was the car to own. By the time the XK 150 was released it was much more refined and as the predecessor to the new E Type they specified them well and the last years of production were SE models. This lovely original RHD was delivered in January 1958 to a UK company owner by Appleyards of Leeds. Restored in the late 1990s the standard of restoration was high by Derek Watson Jaguar guru and she presents beautifully today and has been cherished by her owners. Restoration included the engine rebuild etc. She was upgraded in 2010 with the fitting of the 5 speed Broadspeed gearbox ,lightened flywheel,Vicarage power rack and pinion steering, Coopercraft upgraded brakes ,alloy radiator ,alternator,stainless steel exhaust,electronic ignition,halogen bulbs. The result is probably the most sorted and best driving XK you can buy. The history file is very good including a Heritage certificate and even the original style buff log book etc. On the road she is a very special car with super performance and long legs for cruising with the upgrades making progress easy and great fun.
