FORD MODEL T - £Auction
This charming 1920 Ford Model T pick-up truck was manufactured in France, with its bodywork by coachbuilders E Cordier and A Besnard of Paris. By 1922 it had come to the UK, where it was registered in January 1922 and subsequently used as a livestock truck around Andover, Hampshire. It's believed that it was commandeered during World War Two although there's no documentary evidence supporting this. The present owner had a new canvas hood made plus the body painted, with the artwork done by a tattooist. Everything else is believed to be original. It has been regularly maintained by the owner who tells us that ‘it runs well for a 105-year-old’. Three registered keepers are shown on the V5C, there's no MoT but as an historic vehicle, the Model T no longer requires one. Paperwork includes the current V5C, the buff logbook (and copies), some old tax discs, and 1980s' letter from the DVLC regarding vehicle registration. The Ford also comes its old French numberplate.
