1991 Range Rover CSK Auto. 9750 since resto. 4.6 litre engine upgrade. 3 owners. As often with our own cars, they come back to us on a regular basis - happy to be back home again. This cracker came to us after a full restoration by our friends at the Famous Four Garage - at time showing only 2.000 miles since the frame off works having been carried out. Now at about 9750 since the works she is running beautifully and showing some nice patination and softening of her edges. She can still hold her head up, whilst, as my son said, she looks authentic and real, for the last owner has spent nearly £ 22.000 looking after her in the 5 years she has taken space in his motor house. Prior to this, the owner (OBE by the way) kept her for 6 years and the first owner kept her until 2013 (firstly in his own Company name and then into his name in 1998). So 3 owners really since new and all keeping her in superb, fabulous condition. Complete history folder, original book pack etc and even the original tools. Here is what we said when we sold her to the last careful (Solicitor) owner:- 1991 Range Rover CSK Auto - number 89 / 200 Restored condition. A very fine example of these rare 3 door Classics. Previously sold by our friends at Famous Four a few years ago, after a complete "body off frame" restoration had been completed, since when only a 2.000 road miles have been covered. Happily the interior was in such good condition that after only a really good steam clean and some generous application of hide food (which we have continued to apply) the original CSK interior is completely intact. This is great news, for the original patterned tan leather is not available nowadays, so keeping this original leather in superb original condition marks this restoration as a special one. The original 3.9 V8 engine has been substituted for a 4.6 V8 giving very impressive performance. A full photographic record accompanies '089' as well as a full history folder, book pack and purchase invoices. We really enjoy the CSK with their uprated suspension and the earlier 3 door body shell, upgraded to incorporate leather interior (as above), air conditioning, electric windows, mirrors & sunroof too and '089' is really improved with the extra torque and power from the 4.6 litre V8 engine. The history folder is full and with only 2 previous owners since new, she is a very special CSK indeed.
