Unique works prepared V12 E type. This car was originally supplied to Tom Leggit in 1971. Tom had always had his Jaguars modified by Jaguar to meet his requirements. This E-Type was modified under the auspices of Lofty England to the following spec: blueprinted engine with SU carbs an engine hour meter, modified front suspension, roll cage, alloy wheels, Cibie headlights, special paint colour, Zeibarted, 3 position brake light switch (on/off/normal). At the first major service Tom reported 26 comments including excessive wind noise over 130 mph! These faults were sorted and Tom kept the car until 1985. In 2004 the new owner sent the car to Eagle Racing for some modifications including: uprated radiator cooling, electronic fuel pump, uprated steering rack and pump, Goodridge hoses, ventilated rear discs, engine check, adjustable shock absorbers, halogen headlights. Total bill £24,000. I bought the car in 2015 and have carried out further work including: alloy radiator, 12 branch stainless steel manifolds and sports exhaust, new inertia seat belts, lightweight alternator, modified brakes to allow front/rear balance adjustment, rebuilt the diff, removed engine and box to fit all new gaskets including cylinder head gaskets. Clutch timing chain and tensioner all ok. I have driven the car all over Europe without problems. The car has all original panels except the bonnet and is in excellent condition. For my own use I have removed the rear seat, replaced the fronts with Mazda seats and removed the front bumpers. The originals are with the car and in excellent order. Original tools and jack and numerous spares. All of the work carried out from new is recorded in detail, with receipts, in two large box files including notes to Lofty England. Matching numbers. Note I do not know mileage but would estimate about 200,000.
