Superb Mini Cooper RSP. A rare model, these are the Mini's that reintroduced the Cooper in 1990, the last of the carburettor fed engines and one of only 1650 made. The Mini was taken off the road in 2007 showing 49000 miles. It then underwent a restoration commissioned by the previous owner that took a while. It wasn’t back on the road until 2016. The dials were renewed in the restoration so mileage started again at 0. The guy I bought the car off was a collector so it had very little use. I bought the Mini nearly 5 years ago and it still has done less than 2500 miles since the restoration. Dry stored in a garage and only used in the dry. The colour is an Old English White so not original but looks lovely, painted to a high standard and a real head turner. Gets a lot of attention at shows. The interior has been re-trimmed in Red and Black Vinyl and looks great. The engine and the gearbox were rebuilt in the restoration and I have looked after the car very well. During my ownership the car has had new front discs and pads and rear brake shoes, carburettor rebuild and tune, brake master cylinder, new radiator and fan, new tyres, heater valve, new battery and last year cylinder head gasket, service and another carburettor tune up. Anything that’s needed doing has been done. I’ve got all the receipts and it’s ready to drive away. I have reluctantly decided to sell the Mini because I now have not driven it since last Summer. 4 of my children are now driving and I find myself looking after 7 cars, the Mini is in my Dad’s garage under a sheet and I just haven’t got time for it. Time for someone else to love it and enjoy it.
