MORGAN 4/4 FIAT 2000I.E - £10,000
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, Online Auction - 27th November on Thursday the 27th of November. Background:Introduced in the 1930s and continuously developed through the decades, the Morgan 4/4 (later stylised Four Four) holds the distinction of being the longest-running production vehicle in the world. Lightweight, traditionally styled and famously hand-built in Malvern Link, the Morgan offered a driving experience quite unlike anything else on the road. By the mid-1980s, the model was fitted with fuel-injected Ford engines and more contemporary running gear, though it retained the classic ash frame and vintage appeal that had always been the car’s hallmark. The Car:First registered in 1985, this example has been subject to considerable recent expenditure and is now described as running and driving beautifully. A full engine and gearbox rebuild was completed at a cost of £6,000, and the braking system has also been overhauled. The suspension and king pins have been rebuilt and the car now sits on brand new wheels and Goodyear tyres, fitted within the last 12 months. The ash frame and chassis are said to be in excellent condition. A new hood has recently been fitted, while the paintwork and leather upholstery are believed to be original. The car is accompanied by a good history file, including a number of invoices charting its upkeep over the years. MOT tested until May 2026 with no advisories and offered without reserve, this is an attractive and well-maintained example of a true British classic. Location: Shropshire Seller: Private
