This 1996 Jaguar XJ automatic is a very good example of a model which is becoming rare. It has benefited from some sort of waxy rustproofing from new and as a result it is not the rotten mess that so many are. As you can see from the photos there are very few blemishes. The worst paint is the sunroof panel which has lost it's lacquer and a small dent in the bootlid (pictured). Other than that just a few small marks and hints of rust around the car. Everything seems to work with the exceptions of the left mirror electrics and the clock display - I have the kit to repair the clock and it will come with the car. t was last serviced at 95908 miles (so less than 900 miles ago) when the gearbox was also serviced and the diff oil and power steering fluid replaced. It has an MoT until 26 July 2024 with a minor advisory for a trackrod end. It has recently had a new battery, alternator and front discs and pads. Good tyres, full size alloy spare wheel and a few spare parts. It starts easily and drives well. The throttle cable seems a bit stiff and could probably be replaced to make the drive as smooth as it ought to be. For sale simply because we bought it and, although it is a lovely old car, not the sort of thing we really like - we are old car enthusiasts but have 4x4s and more sporty cars. Wafty smoothness in a large saloon just isn't really our thing; we had an itch and now it is scratched. The car is in South Norfolk near Diss.
