Jaguar MK1 1959, 3 owners from new, 1 owner for over 50 years. Exceptionally original car with all leather and woodwork being original. Interior includes the original working ‘valve’ radio. Engine has had thorough rebuild work and performs well. As with the majority of MK1’s this car has the 2.4L XK type providing good fuel economy along with performance well above the majority of other 1950’s saloon cars. Matching numbers car with original engine etc. The only upgraded part is later 5 speed manual gearbox. The original manual gearbox is also included with the car along with other spare parts. Lots of paperwork including folder of MoT’s showing the mileage over the years. Paintwork is not perfect with various imperfections but overall the car looks great and is believed to have never had a full respray with some areas of paint thought to be original. This car has spent it's life being very well looked after being kept away from wet and salty roads. Metalwork is in very good condition with no signs of welded repairs underneath.
