1969 JAGUAR E-TYPE COUPE - £POA
The Jaguar E-Type, also known as the Jaguar XK-E in North America, is a British sports car that was first introduced in 1961. The Series 2, which was produced from 1968 to 1971, is the second iteration of this iconic model. The Series 2 was developed as a response to both regulatory changes and customer feedback. One of the most significant changes was the introduction of larger, more efficient cooling systems, which included a new front grille design and additional air intakes. This was necessary to comply with new safety regulations and to improve the car's performance. The Series 2 also featured changes in the interior, with improved ergonomics and more comfortable seating. The dashboard was redesigned to accommodate new safety standards, and the car was equipped with a more modern electrical system. Additionally, the Series 2 saw the introduction of a more powerful engine option, enhancing its performance capabilities. Visually, the Series 2 retained the classic E-Type silhouette but included subtle modifications such as larger bumpers to meet safety regulations. The car was available in both coupe and convertible body styles, appealing to a wide range of enthusiasts. Overall, the Jaguar E-Type Series 2 is celebrated for its blend of performance, style, and innovation, solidifying its place in automotive history as one of the most beautiful and desirable sports cars of its time.
