This remarkable and original Jaguar series 2, 2+2 e-type, was uncovered in a private garage, nearby to Car-iconics. Owned for more than 40 years by the owner, he had laid up the car, on wooden blocks some 33 years ago. Cariconics were asked to view the car, by his wife, who was supporting her husband through the onslaught of dementia. He had mislaid the keys to the car, as well as its documents, save for the V5 and original service handbook. Laying the car up on blocks, had kept the damp away from the underside, which is both original and sound. The body is free from rot, but the paintwork has become porous and therefore there is surface rusting in some areas. However, such is the originality of the car, we have left it as is, as its only original once! The interior is incredibly good condition, the seats are again original, as are the carpets, dashboard and switchgear.
