Summary: 1275cc/disc brakes, all steel car, currently under 10 yearr ownership. Not concours but a good example and priced to sell. New MoT in April 2024. Location: Kent. I have been fortunate to own this little Sprite for the last 10 years. It has given my wife and I a great deal of enjoyment and I have loved working on it and keeping it running as much as our trips out throughout the years. My view has always been that if I can’t work on it I wouldn’t keep it and sadly my age is now limiting my flexibility to the extent that the physical maintenance work is becoming beyond my capability. Sadly, it has to go, for someone else to enjoy. This Frogeye left the factory in October 1958 and was sold to it's original owner through a garage in Bromley. Since that time it has benefitted from a number of major improvements and careful maintenance. Engine: 1275cc, balanced with AC Dodd cam and gas flowed head. Electronic ignition with programmable timing. Single HIF44 carb/Titan manifold and 9.7 cr. Maniflow exhaust manifold. Electrics: Autosparks loom with additional relays and fuses, hazard flashers, LED indicators, brake lights and bright running lights. Recent new battery and battery isolator. Brakes: twin circuit (front/rear) and front discs. Interior: correct instruments plus volt meter. Correct style seats. Wheels and tyres: 5 Minilite-style with good tyres. Body work: steel body and bonnet, ramp inspection of underside available. Weather equipment: side-screens, tonneau and hood. I have never actually used the hood and can’t vouch for it’s waterproof properties! During my time I have spent well over £2500 on additional or replacements parts. In return it has proved totally reliable. It is not concours condition but very useble, and fun to drive. I will be sorry to see it go but I needs someone to takeover its care and to enjoy. MoT: due April 2025 (although MoT is not needed in a vehicle of this age).
