Better than new 1961 Frogeye Sprite. Just completed a full nut and bolt restoration taking 4 years. The Californian body was taken back to bare metal by hand and has now done only 60 miles since the restoration. This Sprite has been fitted with the following period upgrades: Rebuilt 1293cc lightened and balanced engine by Classic & Modern (race car engine specialists). Rebuilt 1275 gearbox with new gears by (Road & Race Transmissions). Rebuilt 3.9 differential by (Road and Race Transmissions) of Otford. Rebuilt 1275 disc brakes. With new bearings, kingpins and Pads. 1961 all metal body with new drivers, passenger, and boot floors. Now negative earth with an alternator. All the following are new parts that were fitted during the restoration:- Wiring Loom, brake pipes, fuel pipes, bearings, seals, alternator, starter motor, distributor, brake pads, brake shoes, radiator, seats, trim panels, carpets, petrol pump and fuel gauge sender, hood, tonneau, ignition switch, cables, dual oil/water gauge, master cylinder, eheel cylinders, stainless steel exhaust, nuts and bolts and loads more (receipts to prove). Reconditioned speedo and rev counter (now electric). Professionally painted in Iris Blue (exterior, interior and underneath). Reconditioned S.U. carburettors. Recent MoT although it doesn’t require one. Comes with a photographic history of the restoration. Not only does this Frogeye drive exceptionally well and will now easily keep up with modern traffic.
