Here we have a wonderful example of a genuine UK supplied TR3A. Supplied new in 1961 to the first of 6 owners in total this car was equipped with front disc brakes, wire wheels and overdrive from the factory. The disc brakes have most recently been upgraded to power assisted ! Presented in factory correct black coachwork and interior trim which is contrasted nicely against the white wet weather gear. This car is supplied today as a stock, original spec car allowing for an authentic 1950’s/60’s motor car driving experience. It creates smooth power from its recently serviced 87mm 2.0 triumph engine while making perfect oil pressure and is free of overheating. The gearbox is smooth yet without a synchromesh on 1st gear as is period correct while the overdrive works perfectly. Upon a test drive it is evident that this car is very well maintained. The handling is great as are the steering controls, brakes and drive train with no ominous whines, knocks revealing themselves. A nice finishing feature are a set of period correct rally style stop watches fixed to the glove box lid too which accompany good laid badges and a clock.
