The car has a BMIHT Certificate of Manufacture for 21/5/68 meaning that it was one of the last of this model before the Kestrel name was dropped by BMC. It was supplied to a BMC Main dealer Dobbs Ltd of Southampton before it's sale to a Mrs Richardson of Bitterne. The car had completed 29,358 miles by 1986 before going into long term storage from which it emerged 31 years later in 2017.
