The Porsche 993 was introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 964 generation of the iconic 911 model and was built until 1998. Regarded by many as the best generation of 911s ever produced from Stuttgart, this car was the last to use the air cooled flat-six engine that had powered 911s for the previous thirty years. The 993 was offered in a number of guises and specifications during its production life including two and four wheel drivetrains, known as Carrera and Carrera 4 respectively. The 993 was the first generation 911 to have standard six-speed manual transmission.

Originally registered in Jersey this Porsche has clearly been extremely well cared for and presents in delightful condition, the Arctic Silver coachwork is virtually unmarked as is the grey interior. A well stamped service book accompanies this 993 Targa and the original handbooks are present with the car. We are advised the car drives with no known faults, reliability and ruggedness is synonymous with this era of Porsche. In recent years the car has been in professional, de-humidified storage and used only sparingly. The fastidious vendor choosing not to use the car in inclement weather. Supplied with a V5 registration document showing the car came to the mainland in December 2012, together with a collection of invoices. These models are becoming highly collectable and one in this condition could be a great investment. Consigned by Stewart Banks.
