Having run this advert for just a couple of days, and having been inundated with many offers to buy unseen – most, if not all, I suspect are some form of scam, I’m setting out some ground rules to helpfully dissuade the scam buyers and highlight the genuine ones. So, firstly, this vehicle will not be sold unseen (why would you do this?). Any buyer should be prepared to visit the vehicle in situ, discuss it's condition and being fully aware of what they are purchasing, negotiate a price and then pay a cash (cash only) deposit. Once a deposit has been received, I will then extricate the vehicle from the barn over the following weeks and arrange for it to be ready on a date agreed, for whatever collection process that the buyer will arrange. The remaining balance will also need to be paid in cash, on collection. So, to be clear I’m not accepting any form of deposit other than cash (not Paypal, not bank transfer, not postal order etc) from the buyer, in person, once a viewing has taken place. There is no rush on my part to sell this vehicle, the car has been in the barn for probably over 40 years and I’m sure it can wait until someone can fulfil the above conditions for purchase.
