DESCRIPTION The Jaguar Mark-II is a medium sized saloon car built between 1967 to 1969 by the Jaguar company in Coventry, England replacing the early 2.4 and 3.4 models, Only 4446 models were ever produced in this model. This model was then replaced with the Jaguar XJ6. This vehicle has also undergone a full documented nut and bolt restoration-simply amazing. EXTERNAL This has to be one of the finest models out there today, In one of the best colours Jaguar have ever produced British Racing Green, The coach lines are prominent along with pin sharp body panels along with a uniformed glossy finish to the paintwork, Chrome work sits straight and bright along with the Jaguar badge, All chrome work around the window glass presents in crisp condition along with the original lights fitted front and rear, This vehicle even retains its original black and silver number plates. INTERNAL Opening the Jaguars door you instantly smell the originality, Beige leather seats in absolutely spotless condition front and rear, Your eyes drawn to the leather padded beige centre console where everything sits touch perfect. Once climbed inside you realise the beige thick piled carpets are in immaculate condition as per Jaguar intended. The three spoke wooden steering wheel trimmed to perfection and behind you are treated to an exquisite veneer wooden dash board in the best of condition along with various dials/switches and gauges all working as intended. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Having the 2.4 straight six double overhead cam cast iron petrol engine capable of 120bhp, Fitted with twin 'SU' carburettors to the straight port 'E-Type' head this burbles with sheer elegance, Mated to a four speed manual gearbox with the optional extra ‘Laycock de Normanville’ electric overdrive enabling a smooth relaxed drive. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Having the original chrome knock on alloy wheels which are in immaculate condition shod with the original tyres along with disc brake all round combined along with vacuum pneumatic assisted braking bring you to a controlled precise stop. HISTORY FILE Being the traditional ‘bank robbers’ car back in the day this is truly one of those out the box, The vehicle was supplied new by Jaguar Cars at Browns Lane, supplied new on 1/5/1968 by W.S. Martin Ltd of Middlesbrough to a Mr R Wigan of Stockton and was registered on ‘JDC762F’. Today it has the number of ‘NUM 31F’ and it remains in the same colour combination today. This stunning Jaguar brings with it masses of historic paperwork including a large collection of MOTs, as well as a current MOT until April 2024 even though it is exempt the vehicle has been maintained to highest of standards. The paperwork includes invoices and receipts detailing all work carried out including an older restoration, which according to the accompanying photo album was very comprehensive. This is also reflected in the fact that this Jaguar is a multiple award winner at various shows and competitions. Last serviced in April this year showing it had a major service and accompanying sundries carried out by one of the country’s leading Jaguar specialists. It also has a large collection of invoices from many of the largest Jaguar specialists for work and parts provided.
