Beige soft top.The 1954 Corvette C1 is the first edition of this legendary American sports car.Only 3950 copies of this first series were built, the cars were all delivered in white with a red interior and a beige soft-top.The Chevrolet Corvette was intended to be built in limited numbers, hence the use of fiberglass for the bodywork.Every Corvette has had composite bodywork ever since.This first model is the only Corvette model with a six-cylinder inline engine, all later models were equipped with V8 engines. The 'straigh-six' Chevrolet 'Blue flame' engine produces 152 hp. The engine is fitted with three carburettors and power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic gearbox.This beautiful example is in a good and super original condition, the interior is completely original and shows signs of age on the vinyl of the driver's seat. The beautifully curved original side windows are present with the car.
