Built and invoiced 2nd May 1955 this Austin Healey 100 BN1 is a very fast Healey suitable as either a quick road going or track day ready machine. A 180HP Denis Welch built engine provides power to the rear wheels through a modern 5 speed gearbox with handling upgrades to support this. Restored first in 2002 but refreshed in 2019 with a Gun Metal full exterior repaint the car presents well. This car has been continuously well maintained and supported in various events. The chassis, restored in 2002 was upgraded with lightweight alloy bulkheads similar in principle to a 100S with the chassis itself strengthened. The rear bulkhead features a recess allowing taller drivers more legroom. Just prior to the 2019 repaint aluminum wings and aluminum doors were fitted for further weight saving. A detachable roll bar is nicely integrated into the rear shroud and hidden with body coloured finishers when not in use. Suspension upgrades include uprated front and rear springs, upgraded dampers, front disc brakes, drilled brake drums, rear anti-tramp bar, upgraded anti-roll bar with rose joints, braided brake and fuel lines, new wheels fitted with road tyres.
