2004 ASTON MARTIN DB7 ZAGATO - #083 OF 99 Uniquely finished in Pendle Black over Charcoal Aniline hides, we are delighted to offer this superb example of the stunning, rapid and rare DB7 Zagato, car 83 of 99 built. Towards the end of the DB7 production era, in 2002, the DB7 Zagato was unveiled, rekindling one of the motoring world’s most iconic partnerships; Aston Martin and Zagato. Based on a shortened DB7 platform, the Zagato employed the 435bhp V12 powerplant mated to a short-throw 6-speed manual transmission. The distinctive styling, including Zagato’s trademarked “double-bubble” roof, evoking strong memories of the iconic DB4 GT Zagato from the 1960s, not to mention the stunning driveline from the most focused DB7 built, the GT, ensured that the orderbook for all 99 cars was quickly fulfilled. Bodied mostly in aluminium by Carrozzeria Zagato in Italy, the car was almost 60kg lighter than the standard DB7 GT giving it a suitably enhanced turn of speed over its mechanically similar stablemate. The ‘slippery’ and lighter-weight DB7 Zagato, was estimated to be capable of around 190 mph and able to reach 60 mph in comfortably under 5 seconds. The DB7 Zagato, 20 years on from launch, has established itself amongst Aston Martin enthusiasts worldwide, for its driving performance and distinctive styling, which has since proved itself to have been ahead of its time. This example, built towards to end of the production run and first registered in July 2004, is finished in Pendle Black (dark graphite grey) over Charcoal hides, the only example of the model to have been finished in this colour. The build specification includes; ribbed smoke alcantara headlining, powerfold exterior mirrors, Black Oak veneers, heated front screen and Silver brake calipers. Purchased by its current owner in 2015, this example has been kept in dry storage, with minimal use since. Serviced and recommissioned by our own workshops prior to sale, we can confirm that, having covered just 7,091 miles from new, the condition is superb throughout. This sublime Anglo-Italian thoroughbred has perhaps gone a little under the radar to date but given the rarity of the model, the head turning styling and it being, in our opinion, one of the marque’s most underrated driving cars, we believe they have a bright future ahead, emerging as a desirable young timer collector car.
