1949 Allard M type. I am looking for vintage open 4 seat (Lea Francis, Alvis, Vauxhall ) or light car car. PX cash either way. Chassis no 1000. Reg MUA 735, Dark Blue body with light Blue leather interior. 3622cc Ford flathead V8 and standard Ford 3 speed box, column change and 3.78 differential. Professionally restored to a very high standard for the previous owner in the late 1990s/early 2000s. I have many photos of the rebuild and Restoration in progress. All work completed to a high factory standard, including new ash frame, rebuilt suspension, engine and gearbox, running gear and exhaust. Recent refurbished new Double Duck hood and window screen. 2010: Refurbished and uprated brakes to the phase 2 system. 2022: New clutch, thrust bearing, pressure plate assembly and clutch plate. Maintained to a very high standard since the rebuild. There are only 60 of the factory built 499 ‘M’ types still road registered worldwide. This is the best and most usable Allard M type available. Great car, very reliable and easy to drive in modern traffic.
