ZASTAVA YUGO 55 - £Auction

This left-hand drive Zastava Yugo 55, powered by a 1.1-litre petrol engine, is finished in red with a grey cloth interior and presents smartly overall. Based on Fiat running gear and built in Yugoslavia, the Yugo 55 was Britain's cheapest new car when imports ceased in 1991. This example is one of only a handful remaining on the road. It was first registered in the UK in January 2018 and the V5C indicates only 2 keepers since then. It has recently formed part of a collection, but lack of space has prompted the vendor to downsize. The odometer shows 69,393 km (43,118 miles) and the MoT is valid until March 2026. Although no maintenance receipts accompany the car, the vendor advises that it has recently received a new clutch, clutch cable, gear linkage and a service, and tells us that it drives very well. We are advised that the radiator fan does not come on automatically, but a bypass has been fitted to activate it manually. Not specified
