VW T23 1.6 turbo diesel. The camper was imported in 2007 and had 2 female owners before us. We have owned the van just over a year and bought it for dolphin watching in our retirement around Northumbria. We used the camper for 4 times last year and once this year and won’t have time to go again so we are selling. Inside is very clean with lots of storage space. There is a new 240v electrical system with sockets and lights. Water and waste fixed storage tanks (not tested or used by us), there is 12v wiring and room for a battery under the passenger seat (not tested used by us). We have had the brakes overhauled with new callipers and the engine serviced. It passed the MoT with no advisories. The floor is solid and we don’t think it’s ever been welded, there is surface rust and we were going to have it Lanoguarded. The body is solid with rust in some of the seams, there are marks and small dents in the paintwork. It’s not perfect but very presentable. It looks better in the photos but it is tidy and presentable. The bad parts are it drips in the corner of the windscreen sometimes. The gearbox jumps out of 4th gear but works fine if you hold it in with a bungee. The window above the sink is slightly foggy, the piping is coming off the front seats in places. The van was built in February 1987 so next year’s Mot will be it’s last and it will tax exempt the following year. £5.500.
