1974 VW Camper. This vehicle has been owned by the present owner for over 27 years. It is fully original with a huge history and every invoice, MOT and tax disc for the van since the last purchase date in 1997. The bodywork has had a full back to bare metal restoration with every panel that had rust replaced and treated to a first-class paint finish. All renovation work, including mechanicals, were fully documented and recorded on a CD with photographic evidence of the work as it progressed to completion. The engine was professionally rebuilt and fitted on 21/11/21 using the original engine block to retain its originality. Since it was fitted, it has been gently bedded in and has only been driven for 3000 miles since installation. The clutch and clutch bearings were replaced and the clutch back plate skimmed for an even finish while the engine was removed. It now has electronic ignition with a new coil and spark plugs and a replacement carburettor was installed. The original parts have been retained in a box of spare parts which could be refitted if required. Every year it has had an MOT test and the current MOT expires in July 2025. The interior is original with the working fridge, twin hob cooker with grill and a sink with running cold water as it would have been in 1974. The roof has been fully renovated with new seals, and headliner which has no leaks. The interior cushions have been re-covered The only non-original part is the front seats. The camper also appeared in Classic car Weekly early in 2023 and their valuation for sale purposes was around 25k.
