1978 TRIUMPH STAG MARK 2 - £7,950
Owned for 27 years. The Stag is mostly original and has done just over 92000 miles (69000 on the clock when I bought it). The engine starts and runs well and has just had a new coil and cam cover gaskets fitted. It is manual and the overdrive works fine and has about 6 months MoT. There is a file of invoices, MoT certificates etc, showing work done to the car over the years. There are some rust spots particularly on the drivers side along the bottom of the door and rear wing front panel. The front and rear bumpers need re-chrome and the body needs some tidying up and ideally, a respray to take it to the next level. For it's age the underside is quite good. The inner sills were replaced about 5 years ago and there are a few other small areas where some welding has been done. The interior is generally good and there are no tears in the seats. The seatbelt stalks are missing the Red caps that are pressed to release the belts but are still useable as they are. The soft top is fine but has one small rub mark and the interior lining needs replacing. The Stag is a very usable car for the Summer and perhaps some resto' work over the Winter.
