Suzuki's GSX-R family first appeared in 1984 and was a mainstay of their line up for 40 years with the GSX-R designation being allocated to their high performance sports bikes. The GSX-R family enjoyed much success in racing winning multiple championships around the world including World Supersport, World Superbikes and victories at the Isle of Man TT Launched in 1996 the GSX-R was all new with a new frame and engine, with frame geometry straight from the grand prix race bikes, the bike was lighter with more power and pin sharp handling The 1999 Suzuki GSX-R750 SRAD (Suzuki Ram Air Direct) was a significant sports bike that combined power and light weight in a nimble package It featured a race-inspired chassis and was one of the first mainstream sports bikes to use fuel-injection, offering a noticeable performance increase over earlier carburetted models Classically presented in two-tone blue and white, this 1999 model is in mostly original condition and is fitted with an Akrapovic exhaust The bike has been in dry storage for the past few years so some recommissioning will be required before use
