1964 SUNBEAM ALPINE SERIES IV GT - £6,995
1964 Sunbeam Alpine Series IV GT in Carnival Red. The car runs and drives very nicely with a recently fitted Weber 32/36 carb, new radiator, electric cooling fan, electric ignition, electric fuel pump and re-calibrated tachometer. Rocker cover is from a desirable ‘Holbay’ tuned engine, but the cylinder head itself is not believed to be. Paintwork is showing it's age, as is some of the chrome work and rubber seals. Solid underneath. Interior is Black carpet and Red Vinyl. Being the GT spec it has wooden steering wheel, wooden dash and plusher rear trim. Painted wire wheels all round including a spare. Good oil pressure (50psi on startup, 20 when hot). Working overdrive in 3rd and 4th. All electrics in good order except for the heater blower. Plenty of scope for improvement but a very honest and usable car. Comes with the removable steel hardtop and stand. Plenty of paperwork detailing the previous restoration and some more recent spending. Questions or viewings welcome.
