This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at Race Retro 2026 - Motorcycles on Sunday the 22nd of February, Stoneleigh Park, Stoneleigh Rd, Coventry, CV8 2LG. Sunbeam were initially based in Wolverhampton and produced quality machines from 1890 to 1956 The company won the Isle of Man Senior TT for the first time in 1920 with Tommy de la Hay Known for such innovations as their enclosed, oil bath chain-case and leaf-spring girder forks This c1918 3½ hp is believed to be one of the few machines produced for the British forces during WW1 At the end of WW1 there were thought to be circa 80 solo Sunbeam motorcycles in service Built circa 1918 and registered in 1921 Very little information remains regarding these machines Complete with old RF60 dated 1949, letters dated 1978 from Harold Badham and Keith Chandler, old MOT and old tax discs Great restoration project UK-registered on a V5 Being offered with No Reserve
