Reg YW4090, this car is well know in the STD (Sunbeam Talbot Darracq) registered with the first owner having it until 1954. The car was owned by my late father since 1989. The car has a six-cylinder overhead valve engine with Magneto ignition. Other features typical of the time include: an Autovac (suction lift) to pump petrol to the carburettor, a crash gearbox, a vacuum operated windscreen wiper, friction shock-absorbers and rod operated brakes although these are servo-assisted. With the exception of the two front seat cushions and bases and front and rear carpets, the car interior is original. However during my late father's ownership much mechanical work was carried out to bring the car into proper mechanical condition. The body was recovered in Vinyl to replace the original fabric covering which had rotted and the metal work was resprayed. Serious offers of around £25,000.
