SUBARU IMPREZA P1 - £30,000

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, Online Auction - 30th October on Thursday the 30th of October. Background:Developed by Subaru UK in collaboration with Prodrive, the Impreza P1 (Prodrive One) was created specifically for the British market. Based on the two-door WRX STi Type R, it combined rally-bred engineering with a chassis tuned for UK roads. Power came from Subaru’s turbocharged 2-litre flat-four engine producing 276bhp, driving all four wheels through a close-ratio 5-speed manual gearbox. Just 1,000 examples were produced, all finished in Sonic Blue with unique Prodrive bodywork, wheels, and suspension, making the P1 one of the most collectible modern Subarus. The Car:First registered in 2001, this Subaru Impreza P1 has had nine previous keepers, with the most recent owner retaining the car for the past 12 years. Finished in its signature Sonic Blue, it presents with the distinctive Prodrive styling package and matching 17" alloys, which have recently been refurbished. Mechanical upkeep has been well managed, with a clutch replacement carried out at 68,000 miles. The timing belt and a full service were completed last year, while more recent attention has included the fitment of new tyres. The car presents as a well maintained example of Subaru’s limited edition performance model, with both strong provenance and continued usability. Presented in the model’s signature Sonic Blue, the cabin features black cloth upholstery complemented by grey synthetic suede and blue cloth inserts, Prodrive sport seats, and a black leather-trimmed gear stick, steering wheel, and handbrake lever with red contrast stitching, all hallmarks of the P1’s distinctive specification. Based on the WRX STi Type R, the P1 gained enhanced chassis dynamics courtesy of firmer springs, revised anti-roll bars, redesigned shock absorbers, OZ Racing alloy wheels, and its unmistakable high-level rear wing. Accompanying the car are the original book pack, stamped service history, Subaru Assistance guide, and the P1 supplement, a complete and highly desirable set for collectors. In excellent condition throughout, the car’s bodywork and interior show minimal wear, with all four wheels free from kerb damage or lacquer degradation. This is a wonderful example, fit for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Location: Wiltshire Photos: Professional Seller: Private
