1995 ROVER MINI Mini Cooper - £3,000 Ono
Imminent change in circumstances meaning I'm having to move somewhere smaller and without off street parking are unfortunately forcing sale of my girl I bought her as a rolling shell project Bought her as a project and she was running lovely until the original engine failed (which has been replaced see further down). Everything ran beautifully. Every job done, no expense has been spared as my plan was to keep her to hand down to my children one day! All jobs were done with new nuts and bolts for good measure.
My girl Holly (named after red dwarf) is an SPI Mini Cooper. (Original steering wheel Inc in good condition)
1380cc Bill Richards race engine & head fitted (115bhp at fly) + K&N air filter. Specialist Components ECU.
Brand new starter/coil/dizzy/leads etc all fitted with new engine.
Full stainless twin centre exit exhaust.
Gearbox rebuilt 200 miles prior to engine swap with old stock brand new genuine parts.
Brand new balanced flywheel and clutch fitted with gearbox.
Fully adjustable spax coilovers all round.
Steering wheel to track rod ends all replaced (new steering rack & column etc) original Cooper wheel still here and will come with the car.
Complete loom replacement for engine and cabin (so only rear light loom not replaced).
Thatcham approved alarm and immobiliser fitted. (With 2 fobs).
Full leather interior from a works car. Only damage is a small rip in the side of one seat.
Brand new carbon fiber look dash.
Brand new short shift (have a bias waiting to be fitted too)
Desmio Roof rack painted colour coded to the car.
2 speakers under the passenger seats, 2 in the parcel shelf but unfortunately no stereo as unit she came with was bust.
Silicone pipes on the radiator.
New discs and pads.
Stainless front and rear bumpers (front is in the garage while ive been working on her).
Entire underside was cleaned, treated and coated to protect shell when I did the suspension.
I have a load of sound coat and acoustic floor foam that was going to be fitted that will come with too. All spares in garage will come with her. There is a plain engine guard and a red dwarf themed one.
Bodywork wise there is some small bubbling in the usual spots (see pictures) a small patch under the washer bottle in the boot and the laquer has begun to peel on the archers. But basically, outside of bodywork she's a new car. Wanted to make a solid runner before fussing about with making her look her best. Only things I've not replaced engine bay wise is the radiator its self as never had an issue with cooling and brake servo.
Currently not running only because i can't afford to get her tuned. Starts and runs with foot down but lift off she dies so just need map tweaking for that.
I have had a quote from crafter classics thst they can get her running from between 150 to 500 depending on how much effort is put into the map (unfortunately I haven't the money to get her down there nor get said map done else I would). To just get her up and driving itll be the lower end where as if you wanted to chase every bit of power you could it would be at the higher end. From here she would only need the interior bolting in and 2 new tyres to pass an MOT.
I'm asking only £3000 ovno as besides minor bubbling and a patch under the wash bottle in the boot she is solid, and the list of upgrades alone are worth much much more. Engine hasn't even been run in. Costs for those alone are as follows:
Engine half minus head ~£2500
Spax shocks £570
