Background:Introduced in 1980 as a long-wheelbase companion to the Silver Spirit, the Rolls-Royce Silver Spur offered increased rear legroom and an even more cosseting experience for passengers. Sharing its 6.75-litre V8 with the Spirit, the Spur provided smooth, effortless performance in the traditional Rolls-Royce manner. Featuring independent rear suspension, improved handling characteristics and a refined interior with lavish wood veneers and leather, the Spur remained in production through several series updates until 1999.
