Initially launched during the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show the second generation of the 997 Turbo was an instant hit, and our example will certainly appeal to a buyer who is looking for an individual example that will also offer good investment potential. The second-generation 997 models received a completely new 6-cylinder, 3.8 litre boxer engine delivering 500hp with revised Borg-Warner (VTG) turbos. Porsche dialled back the turbo boost pressure a touch for extra driveability and keener throttle response. Most important of all were the changes to the ride, improvements to the spring and damper rates meant this car's whole attitude to poor road surfaces became more forgiving.
