The Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 SuperSport, often referred to as the 'Turbo-look' or SSE (SuperSport Equipment), represents one of the most desirable variants of the iconic 911 from the 1980s. It was developed in response to customer demand for a naturally aspirated 911 that retained the wider stance and dynamic presence of the Turbo and consequently, the SuperSport offered the best of both worlds, the robust reliability of the 3.2-litre flat-six and the visual drama of the 930. Introduced in 1984 and built through to 1989, initially under the Special Wishes Programme (Sonderwunsch), the SSE became a factory option (code M491) due to customer demand.
