The exquisite 1958 Oldsmobile super 88 offered here, was supplied on 5 January 1958 by "Fred spady motors inc, of hastings, Nebraska to a local businessman. Following the car's arrival in the uk in 1989 the super 88 was registered with DLVA on 7 august 1989. the "chromemobile" remains very impressive in all respects today. The gleaming White over Metallic Green paintwork continues to provide a brilliant/deep shine. There are no dents, scratches, scuffs or blemishes to be found or evidence of rust/rot. the external trim is very good as are the genuine/original wheels with full hub caps sitting on tyres with plenty tread. the car has covered a mere 76.2k or so miles and has been regularly fully serviced. The interior is also of extremely good order, original, clean and uncluttered. There are no tears, unsightly scuffs or marks, signs of wear or discoloration. all is intact, functioning as intended, comfortable and very pleasant to the eye. It is a very roomy and comfortable place to be. The chassis and undercarriage is clean and solid in all areas, as are the floor pans etc. there is no evidence of rot/rust anywhere. the boot - again very clean, solid and un-cluttered. engine bag, as per the boot. Engine, the engine is reliable, agile and responsive, starts first time of asking every time. transmission - the automatic gear box is like the engine, agile, responsive and smooth through the gears. Brakes, spot on. Most recent full service and oil change undertaken July 2025. All in all, this is a fantastic example of the Oldsmobile super 88 coupe/saloon which has apparently been cherished by it's prior owners and part of a large classic car collection kept in a heated, wind and watertight environment. Current total mileage is 76.23k miles which equates to a ridiculous annual mileage of 1138 miles for each of the car's 67 years. The super 88 is registered with DVLA as a historic vehicle and therefore MoT, tax, ULEZ and congestion charge exempt.
