Based on the lightweight aluminium Aero 8 platform but with elegant targa-style roof panels and a more sculptural body, it marked the peak of Malvern’s modern era. Powered by BMW’s 4.8-litre V8 producing around 362bhp, the Aero SuperSports delivers its performance with effortless composure, the manual gearbox offering a rare, purist driving experience. With most examples ordered as automatics, right-hand drive manuals are seldom seen and particularly sought after among Morgan enthusiasts. Supplied new in 2011 to its first and only private owner, this example, #87/120, is believed to be one of very few right-hand drive cars specified with the rare 6-speed manual gearbox, making it a highly desirable configuration.
