1970 Morgan 4/4 Competition four seater. NFY774H. Chassis number B21xx. I originally bought it in 1982 and sold it to my father in 1984. I regained ownership in 2000 when he passed. Running restoration, mechanical overhaul and updating during that time. Chassis strengthened and undersealed, some woodwork replaced by treated ash. Rear body and doors replaced in Aluminium by Morgan factory following a minor rear end shunt. New steel rear wings at same time. Front seats are high-back from a later model, rear seat removed and a parcel deck put in (original seats available but will probably need re-upholstering). Bodywork and chassis solid but would benefit from a respray (micro-blistering in cellulose). Engine rebuilt in 2005 at 48078. Not converted to unleaded. Since done 650 miles. Bored to 1700cc with BCF3 camshaft, ported big valve GT cylinder head, new oil pump, water pump. Recently fitted new 32/36 Weber and Aldon electronic distributor with advance curve customised to engine. Giving 113 BHP on rolling road. New stainless steel fuel tank, fuel lines changed to Ethanol proof, electric fuel pump and new Weber 32/36. Brake servo fitted and front callipers overhauled with new pads. New rear cylinders and brake shoes. All brake lines replaced with Cunifer and Aeroquip flexi hoses. Wheels replaced with Rostyles as fitted to later model. New Vredestein tyres last year. Lots of spares included. Reams of paperwork and receipts. Tax and MoT exempt, but MoT’d 9th April 2025 with no advisories.
