This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2025 on Sunday the 9th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT. Founded by Bill Montgomery in Bury St Edmunds in the early 1900s, initially producing sidecars but very quickly moved on to motorcycles Surviving a large fire in 1925 and subsequently relocating to Coventry, they moved on to produce larger engined machines using engines from Anzani and JAP The model range became very dependant on two frames housing numerous sized engines from 250cc singles to V-twin JAP 1000cc bikes This example was restored from a mostly complete machine in 2012/2013 by Sammy Miller Fitted with Druid girder forks, 500cc JAP OHV engine and 4-speed Albion gearbox Complete with numerous photographs from the restoration and a magazine feature in 2013 in the Classic Motor Cycle Magazine Correct numbers and was in running order when purchased by our vendor in 2013 Minimal use since, but turns over with good compression, may require some basic recommissioning before road use Great example of this rare model and a perfect addition to any serious collection UK-registered on a current V5C
