MINI JOHN COOPER LE40 SUPERCHARGED - £Auction
This particular LE 40 was originally supplied by Park Lane, London on 9th March 2000 and boasts 26,527 miles from new. Beneath its classic exterior lies something rather special - a true “wolf in sheep's clothing”. In October 2008, at 21,242 miles, the car was sent to classic Mini specialist Vmaxscart for a supercharger conversion, resulting in an output of 143bhp at 6150rpm on a rolling road setup. The car subsequently became the subject of a magazine article and has remained in the care of the same Mini-enthusiast family for the past 14 years, spending much of that time unused in storage. Years of indoor storage have paid dividends as the Mini appears in exceptional condition, retaining its correct vented sills and matching numbers. The chrome and trim are in excellent order and all four 13-inch alloy wheels are fitted with Yokohama tyres. Inside, the Grenadine Red leather interior is beautifully preserved and clean, complimented by the original Mini-branded radio/CD head unit. Recently serviced and with an advisory-free MoT valid until 14th October 2026, this rare and powerful Mini comes with two sets of keys and a comprehensive history file to warrant the mileage, including the original stamped service book and Vmaxscart invoice documenting the supercharger conversion. Consigned by Stewart Banks.
