Of the 1983 examples produced, 1579 of them were initially exported to Japan, and this is one of them, having been repatriated to the UK in 2002. Specification wise the Japanese cars are almost the same, except for the factory fitted air conditioning, and deletion of the under bumper driving lights (to make room for the aircon radiators, and a KPH speedometer, although this one now has an MPH speedo. It comes with the MGR number plate as shown in the photos. . It’s in standard specification with the exception of improved Spax shock absorbers all round, and a performance air filter. This one has superb provenance, and the V5 shows just 3 previous owners since importation in 2002, with the last owner having had it since 2017. When imported, the mileage was 16285km ie 10178m.
