BackgroundThe Mercedes-Benz W124 is a range of executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1984 to 1997. The E220 A124 refers to a specific model of the Mercedes-Benz W124 E-Class — specifically the convertible (A124) variant equipped with the 2.2-litre four-cylinder engine. The E220 was a popular choice for the W124, and is well known for its legendary German reliability and boxy styling.From 1993, the 124 series was officially marketed as the E-Class.
