An exceptional example of a late model NA MX-5. This is the top specification 1.8iS version, which features power steering and ABS. It also has the slightly higher powered 133hp engine with ECU, only fitted the final production year cars. The car is in exceptionally clean condition and showing very little wear, consistent with occasional use. Always garaged and not used in the Winter, it is not rusty and has not been undersealed. The interior is very good with hardly any wear on the cloth seats. The mats and carpets are also good. The stereo has recently been upgraded to a Blaupunkt unit with bluetooth. No marks or damage on the interior trim at all. It even has the original windscreen and Mazda security stickers. The hood has been replaced with an original pattern one and the rear window is completely clear. There is a wind deflector fitted which works well. The door and hood rubber seals have all been cleaned and treated with a preservative and are in good condition. There is a 'boot' cover for the hood when folded and also a rare full length tonneau cover plus a car cover for winter storage. Everything works well, including the electric windows. The car has a set of newly refurbished Enkei wheels with new Toyo proxes tyres. These wheels were a dealer fitted option in period. I also have the original 14" alloy wheels in good condition with good tyres. In my ownership the car has had a complete mechanical overhaul including new cambelt, water pump, radiator, sillicone hoses, exhaust, HT leads, clutch master cylinder, brake master cylinder, brake discs, pads, calipers, all fluids changed and a fuel filter. There's a huge history file with this car which includes the original brochure and sales invoice. I've recently driven the car from Bournemouth to Yorkshire and back and it was 100% reliable. If it doesn't sell before, I'll be taking it to the Le Mans Classic and the South of France in July.
