The Clubman-based Mini GTS was a South Africa-only model to replace the 1275 GT and offering 14bhp more thanks to its twin-carb 74bhp locally-cast Cooper S engine. It featured an increased bore, shortened stroke, highly polished combustion chamber, cross-drilled crank, aluminium pistons and new steel-alloy valves. The type proved very successful in racing, but wasn't sold beyond South Africa - thus making it a very rare sight in the UK. 4200 examples of the GTS were built, and less than 100 remain today. Finished in Alpine green with gold decals, this 1979 car was imported by the vendor during 2020 and given an extensive body restoration. Since then it has been in storage as part of a private collection. Now UK-registered. Paperwork includes the NOVA, South African clearance document and Certificate of Authenticity and V5. The odometer records 49,366 miles.  Not specified
