A rare opportunity to acquire a genuine UK-new, right-hand drive Series 2 - positioned nicely between the higher cost of a fully restored example and the potential money-pit of a basket-case project. I purchased the car on a bit of a whim 2 years ago through the friend of a well know Lancia enthusiast who had cherished it since August 1993. Due to his illness, it had been sitting for a while and hence needed a light recommission. Unfortunately, due to other commitments I have reluctantly had to accept that my timing wasn’t the best and whilst I started the recommission it is still sitting in my garage unfinished. - The car is solid with no rust that I can see. There are a few blisters on the rear offside lower panel but they don’t appear to have got any worse for several years. - The engine and gearbox appear to be perfect. On purchasing it ran well (even with filthy carbs and old fuel) with no smoke visible from the exhaust. The oil looks brand new and the coolant is spotless. - The paint is fine but it’s not the best paint job. What’s been done: - Front brake callipers rebuilt. - Master cylinder rebuilt. - New front brake pipes/lines. - Carbs vapour-blasted and rebuilt. - New plugs, points and condenser. - New fuel pump. - New clutch. - New air filter. What needs doing: - Brakes need bleeding. - Carbs need refitting. - Old fuel needs draining and replacing. - Drivers side inner CV boot needs replacing. - Bonnet scoop trim needs refitting.
