Introduced in 1962, the Series 3 was the flagship of the Lambretta range, and marked a major design shift from the Series 2, with narrower, sleeker, and more angular bodywork and leg shields Notably, the Series 3 featured the first front disc brake on a mass-produced two-wheeled vehicle Beautifully presented, this example has benefitted from a ground-up restoration at a cost of over £5,000, with the frame powder-coated and the panels professionally re-painted in the correct Bianco Nuovo (New White) The engine, gearbox and final drive have all been professionally rebuilt to a high standard with stainless nuts and bolts used throughout Lots of new parts were used in the build, including a long-range tank, rear carrier and rack, spare wheel and new tyres, fly screen, front shocks, and period-correct ‘ Butty Box’, along with the correct fibreglass front mudguard The new speedo shows just 195 miles since the restoration was completed Described by our vendor as running, although with little use recently, it may require some light recommissioning prior to being returned to the road Supplied with a current V5C
