OJF 789F was supplied new to Charles Follet Limited, Berkeley Street, London, finished in White with Black trim and power assisted steering on the 25th June 1968. A copy of the original invoice, Jensen Motors Ltd guarantee claim form and early maintenance records with Jensen Motors are with the car. We are pleased to report this lovely early Interceptor is still in its original colours and specification, and is a correct, unmolested and remarkably original car with a mileage of around 98,000. History and paperwork with the car confirm the mileage was recorded at 82,019 in 1986 and a further 14,000 miles were covered over the next ten years. In 1996 OJF 789F was placed in a central heated garage where it spent 18 years off the road. Having been dry stored for so many years, the car was treated to a brake overhaul and some light re-commissioning and MOT tested in November 2014 at 96,304 miles. 200 miles were covered over the next year, the Jensen MOT tested again in early 2016 with 96593 miles. From then, the MKI Interceptor was owned by a Harrogate based collector who dry stored the car. The Jensen then came to us and we sold the car to its most recent owner in Norwich. Over 2023 and 2024 the Jensen had various re-commissioning work to new rocker cover gaskets. manifold gaskets, new re-conditioned power steering rack, re-conditioned radiator, heater valve, various new coolant hoses, new fuel pump, all rear brake calipers, new master cylinder, new brake servo and a major service ahead of going to its new owner who planned to use the car on a daily basis. OJF 789F is a very smart, well presented car having been treated to a strip down and complete re-spray in its original colour back in 2021. With all brightwork and windscreens removed, the MKI Jensen treated to extensive paintwork preparation prior to a top class finish. The chrome work is generally very good and largely original throughout, and the Jensen retains a beautifully aged original trim with superb Black leather seats, good quality door cards and walnut dash. The V8 engine is strong and in very good order holding good oil pressure and offering impressive performance. The gearbox offers lovely smooth changes, and the car feels responsive on the road with impressive handling. Having covered just 400 miles in 25 years, since 2024 the Jensen has been used as a daily driver proving very reliable. It covered well over 1000 miles since its re-commissioning program and as proven, it's a good option for an occasional daily driver classic, or longer distance touring. OJF 789F is a great looking car, and finding honest, largely original early examples can prove very difficult.
