Conceived with the singular purpose of transporting shooting parties in unparalleled comfort and style, this remarkable 2023 JCB/Bence Gun Bus is the result of an extraordinary collaboration between WH Bence Coachbuilders and JCB. This trailer was commissioned by our vendor after attending a shoot at the Bamford Estate, where the existing JCB gun bus left a lasting impression. The idea was embedded to create something truly bespoke, undeniably opulent and extremely luxurious. The result is this one off, no expense spared creation, costing over £300,000 to build and used only a handful of times since completion. Looking like the luxurious lovechild of a Rolls-Royce and a Sunseeker, the trailer is finished in a rich dark green with a green leather interior, tan stitching and beautifully appointed woodwork, complemented by yacht-style wooden decking underfoot. The level of finish throughout is nothing short of extraordinary, with craftsmanship that would not look out of place in the world’s most exclusive motorhomes or private jets. Every conceivable amenity is provided, from hot and cold running water, sinks, inset drinks holders and storage units, to a state of the art infotainment and speaker system, integrated electrics, air-conditioning, strip lighting and a hydraulically folding rear staircase. The trailer is powered by a Cummins Onan diesel generator and features a communications unit, Nespresso machine, water tank, jet washer, barbecue and even outdoor dining capability with marquees and tables discreetly stored on board. Offered today at a fraction of its build cost, the gun bus is simply surplus to requirements and in truth, far too special to remain unused. It is arguably the ultimate piece of field equipment, the very pinnacle of luxury in a shooting context. EJ Churchill are kindly assisting with logistics and will be delivering the trailer to the sale for viewings. As it is equipped with a tractor hitch, they will return to collect it from Silverstone on Monday 25th August and take it back to their High Wycombe HQ, from where it can be collected by the buyer allowing ample time for onward transport to be arranged.
