HONDA Z50R - £POA

The Monkey bike is the name given by Honda to one of their small, low powered motorcycles introduced in the 1960s. The first Honda Monkey was the 1961 Z100 with later Monkeys designated Z50. These vehicles all had a 4.5hp, 49cc single horizontal cylinder four-stroke engine and a seat height of less than 22”. The very first Monkey bikes did not have any suspension, but this was soon added to the front forks.

Offered here is a rare 1979 example of the Z50R which was intended as the motocross variation of the Z50 Monkey Bike. This fantastic and attractive little bike has been extensively recommissioned in 2023. Boasting a custom seat cover and presented in an attractive yellow. Always highly collectable and always popular, these loveable little bikes never go out of fashion. Whether you use it to cruise around the race paddock or simply admire in your mancave, this lovely little bike won't disappoint. Consigned by Will Penrose
