1928 FRANCIS BARNETT SUPER SPORTS NO 9 - £3,300
Lot 103, Guide price: £3,000 to £4,000 Francis Barnett Super Sports No 9 built in 1928 offered for sale, with Francis Barnett Owners Club dating certificate and vehicle details. It appears that the bike has stored for many years, and the registration documents were lost. It was re-registered in 2023. The bike seems to be very original except for a later carburettor and a chrome headlight. It is in good condition, and even the original pressurised bearing lubrication system seems to be working correctly. Recently, there has been over £100 of parts fitted, supplied by Villiers Services. The bike runs and rides, we have in fact seen it ridden around our yard, but as with all bikes of this age, it would be sensible to check everything before further use. The V5c is in the vendors name, there are also parts invoices and all the documents and pictures from when the bike was re-registered. A very reasonably reserved 97 year very original looking old bike which is quite practical. Note: This description is provided by the vendor and unless otherwise stated is 'Not Verified' by Barons or any person employed by Barons. Prospective purchasers are advised to satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of any statements made, whether they be statements of fact or opinion. Offered for sale by Barons Manor Park Classics via a live online and attended auction at 1.00pm on Saturday 12th April at Barons, Unit 6, Harbour Close, Cracknore Industrial Park, Southampton SO40 4AF. Viewing from Saturday 5th April to Saturday 12th April. Office Hours are 9.00am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 023 8066 8413, Saturdays by appointment.
