1951 FORD PILOT - £9,750

First registered in February 1951, there have been six previous owners. Although no full history is available, there are a number of invoices for various works carried out over the years. Since I bought it in April 2020, it has been garaged and never driven in the wet. Previous owners have converted it from 6 volts to 12 volts, have fitted a new carburettor and electric fuel pump, and electronic ignition, and the front seats have been refurbished along with the steering wheel. Work carried out by the current owner includes: both water pumps renewed, a 16" electric fan fitted, a new generator, a NOS starter motor, brakes overhauled, the old oil filter replaced with a modern screw on, and a newer engine with better oil pressure and compression has replaced the original one. Chassis and body are all solid although there are one or two small dents. The paint is good(ish). Painted by hand in a semi-Gloss Black, it's not concourse. Most electrics work, the clock and radio don't. Although the semaphores work, indicators have been fitted. The upholstery is very good up front, the rear is also good but has a small tear in the cushion. The headlining is in very good condition. A ready to drive, comfortable old car that attracts a lot of attention.
